Experience what it’s like to "walk before
you run . . ."
There is no one “book” you can read that can answer
all of your questions about a franchise. But this phase’s steps let you
learn the FACTS – and then learn of FIRST-HAND EXPERIENCES from current
owners.
There are two steps to this phase: learning about the franchisor’s Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) from your franchise representative, and then conducting validation calls with franchise owners, where you can “fill in the blanks” of your knowledge bank about that franchise from those who work first-hand on the business. Both are designed to help you experience what ownership in a particular franchise might be like – for YOU. And your consultant will explain what questions to ask, how to ask them and what you should expect to know when you are through.
Yet, please understand, that while many competitive franchise consultants offer these same two steps – many a potential buyer completes them – and are still left “wanting” for something more.
How does this occur? It all starts with your franchise consultant. If they view their role as “project manager” – just helping you show up “on time” to meetings with franchisors – then you have the wrong consultant. A truly experienced franchise consultant will view their role as “chief educator” – ensuring that you listen, learn, and FEEL what it might be like to be a franchise owner – so that when you are done with this phase of learning, you are either turning cartwheels over the prospect of purchasing a new franchise – or you have decided that franchising isn’t for you.
With The YOU Network, you will not feel as if “there was something you missed…” Your consultant will help you “turn over all of the rocks,” so to say, as well as help you ENVISION what ownership and daily routine would mean to you. Their ability to “tailor” the program steps toward what YOU need is what separates us from the ordinary services.
