Jay is a former franchisee, most recently with Supercuts, where he built an 18-store portfolio that he successfully sold to a national multi-concept franchisee. While at Supercuts, Jay was named Franchisee of the Year, served as the marketing representative for his local market, and was a member of an internal advisory board that onboarded and mentored new franchisees. Jay has a deep understanding of the steps necessary for successful franchise ownership, from initial due diligence and franchise agreement execution to organizational management, organic and acquisitive growth, lease agreement analysis, and successful exiting.

Prior to his franchisee career, Jay held pivotal roles as a Finance Business Partner for renowned companies like United Parcel Service and Global Payments. In these positions, he was entrusted with full P&L management, including budgeting, forecasting, planning, and reporting for several global business units. His financial acumen and strategic planning skills were instrumental in the success of these units.

Jay’s academic journey is equally impressive. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Economics and Management from the prestigious Georgia Institute of Technology. He further honed his skills by obtaining a master’s degree in Business Administration, with a focus on Finance and Risk Management, from Georgia State University.

Jay is actively involved in the community, serving several organizations, including First Tee and Angels in Disguise. He loves spending time with friends and family, traveling, trying new restaurants, and playing golf. Jay also enjoys cheering for Atlanta-based teams and is a huge Alabama Crimson Tide fan.
