Jonathan Pace, Senior Franchise Consultant with The You Network. As Senior Franchise Consultant, Jonathan has a passion for helping professionals clarify their objectives and executing a search to find the right franchise opportunities that line up with their qualifications and interests. He asks the right questions to understand more about his candidate’s skills, goals and resources to present to them with options they are best suited for. He is there for candidates throughout the discovery process to help support and guide them as they start their franchise business.

Jonathan knows that identifying the right franchise opportunity can be more difficult than you’d imagine as an investor. Most people tend to think of franchises as the familiar ones on Main Street or something they saw on Shark Tank, mainly quick service restaurants. He knows that success in franchising starts with finding a business that is going to excite you to get out of bed every morning. It is important to understand who is going to be running the day to day operations of the franchise and make sure the business selected is one that involves the operators strengths and lifestyle goals.

Starting his career in franchising with Moe’s Southwest Grill he was then hired by Smashburger where he trained franchisees on the business model and how to open new markets. Later he was recruited to AT&T where his experience in creating culture, customer service and training led him to turn around several of the lowest performing retail stores in the region.

Growing up in a family of entrepreneurs he quickly grew tired of making money for other people and wanted to take control of his future. He noticed the lack of education around small business ownership and wanted to help others succeed at getting started.

In 2015 Jonathan co-founded his own franchise consulting firm, where he began educating and guiding professionals interested in becoming franchise business owners. As a consultant, Jonathan brings both his years of experience in the field and the unique perspective of having worked on both sides of the table. Jonathan knows that franchise success doesn’t just come from the top down, success happens when excellence is instilled at every level of the business.

Jonathan lives in the Greater Chicago area where he has been born and raised. When not consulting, Jonathan enjoys spending time outdoors, snowboarding and walking his dog Finnighan.
