Scott Hedrick

After graduating from Florida International University, Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management, Scott started his professional career with Marriott International.  During the first 18 years with Marriott, Scott’s positions and responsibilities were in Full-Service Lodging Hotels and Resorts. They included assignments in Airport, Convention, Suburban, And Resorts. Scott had both Domestic and International assignment.

In 1998 Scott joined Marriott’s Vacation Club and for the next 11 years he held various leadership positions as General Manager, Area Manager and a Corporate Director of Talent Acquisition. Throughout his career he achieved numerous awards and recognition, including being responsible for the strategy, development, and execution of the business plan for the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympic Games Managing two Ski Resorts in Park City, Utah.

Scott retired from Marriott Vacation Club in 2007 and continued his career with two additional Executive assignments in Orlando from 2007-2013.

What do you enjoy most about franchise consulting?

"Helping people unlock their potential through business ownership is incredibly rewarding. I love seeing clients gain confidence and achieve success.” And potential transition from the corporate world to "Be your own Boss."

What’s a key piece of advice you give to those new to franchising?

Understand the commitment. Franchising offers great support, but it requires dedication and a willingness to work within a system.It’s about finding the right fit!

What are your interests outside of consulting?

I’m a sports enthusiast and enjoy playing golf. It’s a great way to relax and stay competitive in a different setting.

How would you describe your approach to consulting?

Direct and goal-oriented. I focus on helping clients make informed decisions and ensure they feel prepared every step of the way.

What’s the most fulfilling part of your job?

Seeing clients succeed and knowing I’ve played a role in their journey to independence and achievement is incredibly fulfilling.
